“Pumpkin Harvest: History/Tradition of the Pumpkin and the Plant”  Join us in the Pumpkin Patch at Parker Learning Gardens and take one home after choosing from over a dozen varieties. Learn and see how and why we grow them organically and discover what you can do with the seed. Why do we carve pumpkins anyway? What is the Cucurbitaceae family of plants all about?

Popcorn and fresh-pressed cider provided!

$15 per student.

(Scheduled in the month of October.)

A huge Thank You to everyone who joined us at the farm for our Fundraiser Event and to everyone who donated to our Seedmoney campaign. We reached our initial target goal of $1500, and then we reached our sctretch goal of $2500! Incredibly, we finished the campaign well beyond our goals. Thank you!

Fundraiser & Tour – Saturday Nov. 27th (Noon – 4pm)

Press your own cider, shell and pop popcorn, estate grown veggie chili, gifts for donors to take home!

Discover what Parker Learning Gardens is all about while pressing your own apples and shelling your own popcorn, all within our spacious 100 foot hoop-house. We will be presenting our up-and-coming educational programs, on-site classes and volunteer opportunities. Learn about our unique gardens, 3 acre bamboo forest, fruit orchard and biochar kiln; and see what fun our future classes on crafting with bamboo, willow, gourds and broom corn entail.

We have created a crowdfunding/grant campaign through that gives us the opportunity to earn up to $1000 in grant funds. The fundraising campaign runs from Nov. 15th to Dec. 15th. The more we raise through donations during this period, the better our chances are of receiving additional grant money on top of the donations we receive. Please join us and consider helping build this unique and incredible educational resource for the community.
